As a bail fund, we believe every person has the right to get free and stay free. The people who are most vulnerable to arrest and to being unable to post bail are also living at the intersections of racism, poverty, unemployment, housing insecurity, mental health, and substance use. The policies that have built the prison industrial complex have also gutted the social safety net our communities need most. That’s why our aftercare team starts working with people as soon as they are home to provide immediate relief and to create networks for mutual aid and healing justice.
